Jim Craig origianally formed James M. Craig, P.A., in October 2011.  Jim received his A.B., cum laude, from Duke University in 1983 and his J.D. from the University of Florida College of Law in 1986.  He is a member of The Florida Bar and an inactive member of the State Bar of Georgia.  Jim is admitted to practice in all Florida state courts and the United States Supreme Court, the United States Courts of Appeals for the Ninth, Tenth and Eleventh Circuits, and the United States District Courts in the Middle, Northern and Southern Districts of Florida.  Jim is Board Certified by The Florida Bar as a specialist in Labor and Employment Law.

 

Jim is the current Chair of the Labor and Employment Law Certification Committe, a member and former Chair of the Federal Court Practice Committee, of and is a member and former Publications Chair of the Labor and Employment Law Section of The Florida Bar.  Jim also belongs to the Hillsborough County Bar Association and is a member of its Labor and Employment Law Committee.  Jim is a Master in the Ferguson-White Inn of Court.  Jim is AV-rated by Martindale-Hubbell and has been listed since 2011 in Best Lawyers in America in the field of Employment Law, Florida Trend's Legal Elite in Labor and Employment, and Florida Super Lawyers in Employment & Labor and Employment Litigation: Defense.

 

Jim also is very involved in his community as he has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Tampa Bay Builders Association since 2004, has served as its Secretary and First Vice President, and now is a Life Director.  Jim also has served as a state Associate Director of the Florida Home Builders Association and has served as its Bylaws Committee Chair.  Jim is also a past member of the Board of Directors of the Temple Terrace Golf and Country Club and has served as its President, Vice President and Secretary.

 

Jim, his wife, Becky, and daughters, Casey and Jamie, live in Temple Terrace.
